Time:

Description:
Reserve Wednesday, September 22nd, at 10:00 am, in the Wesley M & E building, third floor for a most compelling presentation on the humanitarian crisis in Darfur and southern Sudan and ways we as Christians can respond. The Rev. Margaret Kartwe-Bradley, serving as pastor of Village UMC in North Lauderdale, is a dynamic speaker and has had extensive mission service in neighboring African nations, where the culture is very similar to that of the afflicted areas of Sudan. A native of Liberia, she came to America to study for the ministry and while here, a brutal coup that affected members of her family took place, making it impossible for her to return. She will talk about Sudan and the moral imperative of the church to work for peace and reconciliation there. She will also share ways we all can take to respond to God's call to love our neighbor in the spirit of Christ. The program is for the whole church and is sponsored by the United Methodist Women.
