2008 College Scholarships

One way some members of FUMCO have put their faith into action is by giving gifts to be used for scholarships. Two types of scholarships are awarded each year, scholarships for undergraduate students and scholarships for those seeking to enter full-time religious work.  Students who are awarded scholarships must serve actively in their own church, participate in significant community service, show academic achievement and promise, and demonstrate financial need. The scholarships are paid directly to the institutions the students attend. More than 20 scholarships were awarded in 2007.

To be considered for a scholarship for the 2008 school year please print out and complete an application form found at Scholarship Forms and mail the form to the Scholarship Committee, First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 E. Jackson St., Orlando, FL  32801. Applications must be received by April 1, 2008 in order to guarantee consideration for the 2008-2009 school year.
